Is your Toothpaste Interfering with your Health?

Toothpastes that are too abrasive can strip away enamel, the protective coating on teeth. Enamel is the toughest substance in your body, even harder than bones. Without proper care and using highly abrasive toothpastes, the enamel begins to wear away and once it is gone, it’s gone – enamel does not grow back! When it’s gone, the process of real oral health problems begins: cavities occur, followed by gingivitis, periodontal disease, and ultimately, tooth loss, all of which can lead to impacting overall physical health. (More on this later.)

The abrasive quality of toothpaste is measured by its Relative Dentin Abrasivity (RDA). OXY™Brite Tooth Polish, in addition to being ToxicFree®, has the lowest RDA of all major toothpaste brands. Check out the comparisons below.

Wouldn’t it be comforting to know you are brushing with a tooth polish that is gentle on the enamel of your teeth, reducing the abrasiveness, prolonging the life of your tooth’s enamel coating, and protecting against potential oral health problems? OXY™Brite Tooth Polish does that for you and your family. OXY™Brite Tooth Polish is the safest, most gentle tooth polish on the market today. Because we care about your oral health and the health of your family, Chaé Organics has developed a tooth polish that is ToxicFree® and boasts the lowest abrasiveness available.

Okay! We’ve told you about how OXY™Brite Tooth Polish is gentle on your teeth and gums. But we also said that it is the safest on the market. What OXY™Brite Tooth Polish contains, what it is made from, and its ingredients, tell that story. Also important is what it doesn’t contain.

All of OXY™Brite Tooth Polish ingredients are certified ToxicFree®. There are no warning labels necessary on the package. Does this warning on your toothpaste container look familiar: “Keep out of reach of children under 6 years of age. If more than used for brushing is accidentally swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away”? Wow! That’s pretty frightening!

OXY™Brite Tooth Polish needs no warning label because it is Certified ToxicFree®. These ingredients are vegetable glycerin, purified water, OXY™ Stabilized Oxygen (Sodium Chlorite*), calcium carbonate, sorbitol powder, sodium benzoate, mentha piperta (peppermint) essential oil*, xylitol*, titanium dioxide*, xanthan gum*, stevia*, and decyl glucoside*. While these ingredients may seem esoteric, they are all ToxicFree® and the asterisked ones are certified organic.

But let’s focus on OXY™ Stabilized Oxygen (sodium chlorite) and why it is so important. This is the active ingredient in Chaé Organics. Inc. formularies. It has been proven to be effective in killing a large variety of bacteria, fungi, and viruses. (For a list detailing the effectiveness of OXY™ Stabilized Oxygen against bacteria, fungi, and viruses, click HERE.) It is the active ingredient in OXY™Brite Tooth Polish to protect against the bacteria that leads to gum disease.

What DOESN’T OXY™Brite Tooth Polish contain? It does not contain fluoride – again, check the warning message on the back of your toothpaste tube or box. We don’t need to say more than that.

It does not contain sodium lauryl sulfate (sls) – a synthetic foaming agent that is known to cause problems like the breakdown of protein/gum tissue, inflammation of the gums, and mouth ulcers; is a gastro-intestinal or liver toxicant, and an industrial strength detergent.

OXY™Brite Tooth Polish does not contain propylene glycol, a solvent that breaks down the gums and potentially increases gum disease, and does not contain artificial colors or flavors.

OXY™Brite Tooth Polish does not use triclosan. Triclosan is a toxic ingredient added to products to combat bacterial contamination. It is commonly found in antibacterial soaps, and body washes. Toothpaste, and cosmetics. The Federal Drug Administration (FDA) has banned its use in body wash, bar soap, and liquid soaps but still allows its use in some toothpastes. Triclosan in your toothpaste? Why would you want that? If it is banned for use on your skin, why would you want to use it in your mouth?

While it is comforting to know that you are brushing with a tooth polish that is the gentlest on the market, it should be even more comforting to know that brushing your teeth with OXY™Brite Tooth Polish is also the safest, free of potentially harmful toxins.
